Mark Nichols
Mark M. Nichols began working with wood as a child. He went to a vocational high school where he learned furniture design and construction. While in school, Mark built furniture for the Mayor, the Superintendent of schools, and for others in the city. He has had work on display at the Hines Auditorium in Boston, MA, and has even sold pieces in the British Isles, Philippines, and Canada! He provides the Marketplace with Wooden Bowls, wine stoppers, ornaments, cutting boards, and granite bowls.

J.K. Adams is based out of Dorset, VT. They have been creating hand-crafted, high-quality cutting boards and kitchen supplies since 1944, and have remained committed to their mission of producing their kitchen and housewares by hand from North American hardwoods of their local, Dorset, Vermont. J.K. Adams is a second-generation family-owned business who are extremely proud of the work they create and the relationships they have built amongst their employees. Marilyn Worcester is based out of Winchester, NH and primarily provides the Marketplace with painted-wood items, such as magnets, pins, and ornaments. She takes inspiration from native New England bugs and wildlife, as well as sunsets, and New England foliage.

Village Craftsman
Born and raised in Bellows Falls, VT, Dan Hill, "The Village Craftsman," draws inspiration from the nature of the northeast. In business since 1974, his ornaments, cribbage boards and night lights are mainly crafted from cherry, maple, birch and mahogany wood. The fine tuned laser cutting allows a precise and unique design for each of his products which are sold throughout the northeast including here at Hannah Grimes Marketplace.

Wooden Wings
Wooden Wings’ Phil Morgan has built a woodworking career in a style he calls “folk art of today,” and has become known around New England for his unique, realistic-looking birds - as back scratchers, ornaments, and magnets. His “Feathered Friends” come in dozens of different species of birds, the most popular of which tend to be the local woodpecker, cardinals, great blue herons, and loons.

NH Bowl & Board is modestly owned by Paul Silberman and Gayle Kimball. Their store in Contoocook is one of just a few of New Hampshire’s remaining authentic outlets in a historic country store building – one with over 90 years of history. Each of Terry’s items are individually crafted using a variety of hardwoods which is what makes them so unique. Horse Hill Studio
Donlin Foreman is Horse Hill Studio’s leather smith, based out of Harrisville, NH. Donlin describes leatherwork as his “first love,” though he has also worked as a professional dancer and choreographer. He is now a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and the Walpole Artisans Co-op. At his studio, Donlin focuses on creating pieces with roofing slate and repurposed wood.
