J.K. Adams is based out of Dorset, VT. They have been creating hand-crafted, high-quality cutting boards and kitchen supplies since 1944, and have remained committed to their mission of producing their kitchen and housewares by hand from North American hardwoods of their local, Dorset, Vermont. J.K. Adams is a second-generation family-owned business who are extremely proud of the work they create and the relationships they have built amongst their employees. Mark Nichols

Mark M. Nichols began working with wood as a child. He went to a vocational high school where he learned furniture design and construction. While in school, Mark built furniture for the Mayor, the Superintendent of schools, and for others in the city. He has had work on display at the Hines Auditorium in Boston, MA, and has even sold pieces in the British Isles, Philippines, and Canada! He provides the Marketplace with Wooden Bowls, wine stoppers, ornaments, cutting boards, and granite bowls.

Dave Designs

Dave Brien of Dave Designs is our newest wood worker and furniture crafter! Based out of Auburn, NH, Dave creates extremely unique, one-of-a-kind wood and resin ocean benches, hand-carved segmented wood bowls, fine art woodworking pieces, and contemporary coffee tables. The large pieces of furniture are not available for shipping. Stop by the store to see the full selection of Dave's pieces!

Woody's Goodies NH

Woody's Goodies is a woodworker based out of Peterborough, NH. They craft hand-carved and one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture including lamps, clocks, mirrors, and more. Made with vintage, repurposed wood. 

Gluckspilz Gifts

Sean Flemming of Gluckspilz Gifts is a painter, sculptor, and maker of miniature wooden fairy houses! Since his childhood, he has enjoyed the outdoors and naturalistic imagery including moss, twigs, and mushrooms. He focuses on magical Baba Yaga Houses and Amanita Fairy houses; the name Glückspilz translates to "lucky mushroom" in German, and similar to his Baba Yaga work, reflects Sean's Germanic and Slavic roots. John Arnold owner of Creations Frumdawoods resides in Peterborough, NH. He combined his hobbies, woodworking, art, and his love for walking in the woods, to start his woodworking business. John has been a member of the Marketplace since 2014 and his beautifully crafted pocket watches and compasses remain his best sellers! See more on his Facebook page!

Village Craftsman

Born and raised in Bellows Falls, VT, Dan Hill, "The Village Craftsman," draws inspiration from the nature of the northeast. In business since 1974, his ornaments, cribbage boards and night lights are mainly crafted from cherry, maple, birch and mahogany wood. The fine tuned laser cutting allows a precise and unique design for each of his products which are sold throughout the northeast including here at Hannah Grimes Marketplace.

Wooden Wings

Wooden Wings’ Phil Morgan has built a woodworking career in a style he calls “folk art of today,” and has become known around New England for his unique, realistic-looking birds - as back scratchers, ornaments, and magnets. His “Feathered Friends” come in dozens of different species of birds, the most popular of which tend to be the local woodpecker, cardinals, great blue herons, and loons.

Bob Yantiss

Bob Yantiss is a fine artist and woodworker who is based out of Swanzey, NH. His work is the culmination of years working with photography and woodworking to create his detailed wood etchings, which include fine art pieces and wooden mandalas.

Abnormal Creations

Abnormal Creations is based out of Salem, NH, and creates unique Birch home décor, including wooden wine stoppers, wine charms, and hand-painted, Birch Christmas ornaments. Terry Miller Craftsman

Terry Miller Craftsman produces his work out of Jaffrey, NH located twenty minutes from our storefront. Each of Terry’s items are individually crafted using a variety of hardwoods which is what makes them so unique. He makes anything from wooden keepsake boxes to children’s toys that are designed to last for generations to come. See his website for more of his work!

Wild Goose Woodworking's Donald Chase is a woodworker and furniture crafter at the marketplace! Don focuses on hardwood trays, tables, and other small household furniture pieces. He creates high-quality, one-of-a-kind woodwork. Check out their Facebook page for more of their work!

Ox Pond Press

Ox Pond Press is based out of Bethlehem, NH, and have been selling their wooden signs for over 30 years. Ox Pond Press was formed by Stephen and Kathleen Gifford in 1991 nearby Ox Pond in Webster, NH, and relocated to Bethlehem, NH in 2007. It is a family-run business, and as of 2016, the business was passed onto the Gifford’s youngest son, Carl. Carl brings HGM custom, creative signs that celebrate our local mountain ranges and New England aesthetics as well as bring life and wit into the home. Keene Additive Manufacturing

Keene Additive Manufacturing is run by Keene, NH local, Chris Dubriske! He brings his beautiful, hand-carved pieces into the marketplace, including his laser engraved inlay cutting boards featuring local flora and fauna, like his Moose and Hummingbird designs. Read more about them online!

 

Genovese Woodworking & Baskets

Tina and John of Genovese Woodworking and Baskets are a husband and white duo who create hand-crafted baskets, slate garden markers, wooden coasters, and hand-carved wooden pens.

Horse Hill Studio

Donlin Foreman is Horse Hill Studio’s leather smith, based out of Harrisville, NH. Donlin describes leatherwork as his “first love,” though he has also worked as a professional dancer and choreographer. He is now a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and the Walpole Artisans Co-op. At his studio, Donlin focuses on creating pieces with roofing slate and repurposed wood. Warren Stone Photography

Warren Stone provides our Marketplace with many high-quality items, including hand-carved walking sticks, postcards and prints, and magnets. Moose Run Leather’s walking sticks are also pictured. Warren is a best-seller based out of Keene, NH.
