The Marketplace is a truly collaborative venture, it has thrived on the hard work and collaboration of the HGM Founder, Mary Ann Kristiansen, the Marketplace Management teams and Shopkeepers over the years, our team at the Center for Entrepreneurship, our Marketplace Members, and the Marketplace Board. 
  
Meet our Board Members! They are all active members of our local business community who volunteer their years of experience and expertise. The Marketplace Board of Directors consists of Melissa Binder, Mary Ann Kristiansen, Dale Montrone, Andrew Richardson, Steve Silverstein, Chris Swanson, Beth Kosuk, Julie Schoelzel, and Rachel Morrison. The Board provides oversight and guidance for our mission, including budgetary and financial assistance, mission oversight, and event planning assistance.
  
Julie Schoelzel - Board President
 
Julie is the Project Manager of the Promote The Monadnock Region Initiative at the Greater Keene and Peterborough Chamber. Prior to moving to Keene with her family in 2017, Julie spent 14 years working at a start-up in New York City, where she did everything from delivering the office chairs her boss sold on Craigslist to stay afloat to negotiating marketing partnerships with brands like J.Crew, Vogue, West Elm, Air France, and more. She loves to see hidden gems thrive and is thrilled to be a part of the Hannah Grimes Marketplace and the greater Monadnock Region community. 
  
 
Mary Ann Kristiansen - Vice President
 
Mary Ann Kristiansen is the Founder of Hannah Grimes Marketplace and Executive Director of the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship - providing space, resources, and networks to promote a thriving local economy and vibrant community. In addition to a thriving Main Street Market, the Hannah Grimes Center offers a wide range of business programs, a business incubator, and a co-working space. The concept for Hannah Grimes Marketplace emerged from her own home-based soap-making business. She earned a MA in Public Administration from New York University and a BA degree in Communications from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.
 
 
Dale Montrone - Secretary 
 
Dale is currently serving as Marketplace Board Secretary and also serves as the co-owner and Director of Business Development for holistic health company, Wondrous Roots Botanical Apothecary. With over 17 years of research and development of holistic health products, Wondrous Roots is based out of Keene, NH, and focuses on health, self-care, and community. Dale has a 
 
 
Andrew Richardson - Treasurer 
 
Andrew is a Commercial Loan Officer at Savings Bank of Walpole where he provides support to local businesses and their lending needs. SBW is also very supportive of their employees volunteering and serving on boards, which Andrew greatly enjoys. He lives in Spofford, NH with his wife and children and enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He graduated from Colby-Sawyer College with a BA degree in Exercise Sports Sciences with a concentration in Sports Management.
 
 
Melissa Binder - Board Member
 
Melissa Binder is a Project Manager at New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, the holding company of Savings Bank of Walpole, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Meredith Village Savings Bank, and NH Trust. She obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2018. While being a transplant from the Boston area, she went to Keene State College, graduating with a BS in Sociology in 2012. She has volunteered on the Hannah Grimes Marketplace Board for several years, holding previous roles of Secretary and Board Chair. She fell in love with the beauty and culture of the Keene area and the Monadnock region, and has never left! 
  

 

 

Beth Kosuk – Board Member 

Beth Kosuk has a BFA in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has worked as a freelance creative director, graphic designer, and marketing consultant; she has also volunteered for local business boards for several years. Beth is skilled in marketing and business direction, brand development, advertising and digital marketing, and creative strategizing. She is a wonderful source of creativity and hard work on our board. 

 

Rachel Morrison – Board Member 

Rachel Morrison is a co-founder and Senior Project Manager at Ashby & Gabriel, a marketing agency started in 2017. A&G focuses on partnering with social good and non-profit organizations, taking strategies traditionally used for sales and crafting them into tools to create community impact. Rachel also serves as a member of the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship Board. Originally from New York, she has been coming to the Monadnock region since childhood and is now lucky enough to call New Hampshire home.
